1 Introduction Asthma in preschoolers is a major contributor to morbidity and high hospitalization rates [1]. An estimated 5–10% of children in this age group with recurrent wheezing suffer from severe asthma, which imposes an even greater burden compared to mild or moderate asthma. Children with severe asthma experience more frequent exacerbations, persistent symptoms, and a significantly reduced quality of life, with preschoolers being particularly vulnerable to these adverse outcomes [2].
