The Republic of Ireland squad are continuing preparations for the opening Euro 2024 qualification match against 2018 World Cup winners France at the Aviva Stadium on Friday night. Manager Stephen Kenny named his squad last week for the tough assignment with Didier Deschamps outfit. A huge crowd is expected in Dublin to witness the game as Ireland attempt to reach the European Championship for the first time since 2016, where they were eliminated by Monday’s opposition in the last 16.

Treaty United travel to Lissywoolen on Friday night to take on Athlone Town in search of their first league victory of the season. Kick-off remains at 19.45 for the Saint Patrick’s Day clash between the sides. In their last outing, Treaty succumbed to a 0-3 home defeat to Cobh Ramblers while Athlone were also on the wrong end of a 0-1 scoreline on their home patch.

Treaty United FC have announced a sponsorship agreement with Dennehy Motors of Limerick today. A number of the club’s first team players and management along with committee members were present to mark the deal on the Dock Road. The club announced the partnership on their official social media accounts and the deal will see Treaty gain the use of a Dennehy motors van to transport the club’s equipment around the country.
