Statistical analysis We compared taxon abundances at the genus level across genotypes assuming a dominant model of inheritance and comparing YY with XY + XX, in which X is the risk allele. The use of a dominant model for all tested variants is justified as we performed pairwise comparisons of the relative abundance of each taxon.
