Paris, France My design work is best summed up as: Antoine Simonin: “Let your dreams devour your life so that life does not devour your dreams.” – Antoine de Saint Exupery What aspect of your work are people most curious about?
A 614-Square-Foot Paris Apartment Doubles as a Space to Explore Design
“We have been dividing our time between Paris and the country for several years, and we realized that we needed a pied-à-terre here, especially after the pandemic. We were looking for something not far from the flea market that felt decidedly Parisian. Then we found this 614-square-foot space near Avenue Junot, in the 18th arrondissement,” says Jérémy Pradier, copartner with Aurélien Jeauneau of the Pradier-Jeauneau gallery, which is about to open at a new location on Paris’s Rue de Verneuil.

Not far from the Fontainebleau forest, in the Seine-et-Marne department of France, lies a country property so charming and picturesque yet sophisticated, it seems like something dreamed up by a Hollywood set designer. Composed of several buildings around a courtyard with two huge, historic linden trees growing in the middle, the property is home to sheep, chickens, dogs, cats, horses, and two miniature donkeys—there are even beehives.

With each collection, Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri continues to steadfastly hold on to her ambition to champion the women of the past and create a space for the women of tomorrow. For the French Maison’s Fall 2023 Ready-to-Wear presentation, catalysed by the Creative Director’s muses Catherine Dior, Édith Piaf and Juliette Gréco, this belief led her to work with Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos on the set design.
