People make a lot of assumptions about sex. And of all the things to make assumptions about, this might be the worst — because assumptions, by nature, rely on limited or superficial information. And sex, on the other hand, is one of the most personal, veiled subjects of all. Which makes it, perhaps, the most misunderstood and abused power in the world.

A Calling for Deeper Foundations Let me start by saying: I fully support the growing movement to bring nervous system education into classrooms. It’s long overdue. Understanding how our physiology impacts learning, behavior, and relationships is essential for educators and students alike. But perhaps like many educators fleeing the classroom since 2020, I left in frustration because I didn’t know how to offer what I experienced as a very real need.
