Aiden Whitaker

Aiden Whitaker joined the KEPR news team as a reporter in March of 2024, after gaining over three years' experience reporting on different stories across the Tri-Cities.

He started his career as a freelance photographer for several Tri-Cities news outlets, eventually contracting with the Tri-City Herald.

In May of 2023, he began working at KEPR as a news assistant, before taking on his current role, covering several major stories; including the largest commercial fire in Tri-Cities history and the former Yakima police officer who killed two people.

A self-certified crime junkie, Aiden is a Tri-Cities native who grew up in Pasco, where he graduated from Chiawana High School in 2023.

Being the oldest of seven siblings, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and is constantly on the move trying to learn new things.
