Aindrias de Staic

Storytelling in his blood; music in his bones. Celebrated storyteller Aindrias de Staic brings his show By The Light of the Silvery Moon to Axis Ballymun as part of a national tour. A true pioneer in reviving Ireland’s bardic tradition, Aindrias draws inspiration from Raifteirí an File and Brian Merriman, and has honed a contemporary seanchaí style that is firmly rooted in the traditions of the west.

By the Light of the Silvery Moon is a special evening of Irish stories for grown-ups - told through words and music by storyteller/Seanchaí Aindrias de Staic, with harpist Aisling Lyons and percussionist Brian Fleming. Aindrias’ style is a fast paced, lively, new approach to the ancient Irish art form, yet his work is firmly rooted in the traditional storytelling styles of the west of Ireland.
