(WOOD) — A man was arrested after a woman was found dead in the basement of a home near Allegan Friday, deputies say. According to the Allegan County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to a home on Nature View Lane to do a welfare check on 58-year-old Rosa Olmsted.

(WOOD) — One person was killed in a house fire Friday evening in Muskegon Heights, officials say. Authorities responded to the fire at around 7 p.m. Muskegon Heights Interim City Manager Maurice Sain confirmed to News 8 that a person was found dead inside the home, located on Peck Street. It is unclear what led up to the fire. Authorities are still investigating.
