A Predictive Dynamic Approach to Evaluating the Reliability of Passive Systems

Reliability R(t) [1] is a commonly used measure to quantify the dependability of safety or mission-critical systems. It represents the probability that a system performs its required function within the time interval (0, t). To evaluate the reliability or unreliability of a system, constructing models is a common approach. These models can be based on various techniques such as fault trees, stochastic Petri nets, or Markov chains [1].
