General Relativity and Quantum Cosmology
[Submitted on 2 Jul 2026 ( v1 ), last revised 20 Sep 2026 (this version, v2)] Title:Black Hole Persistence in Scalar Tensor Theories View a PDF of the paper titled Black Hole Persistence in Scalar Tensor Theories, by Balkar Yildirim and Alan Albert Coley View PDF HTML (experimental) Abstract:We construct a perturbative scalar-tensor solution describing a central inhomogeneity embedded in an evolving cosmological background, with the aim of studying black hole persistence through a nonsingular...
Definition of a photon surface in an invariant spin frame
This paper defines the photon surface conditions using Cartan scalars within an invariant spin frame, offering a comprehensive description of the local spacetime geometry. By employing this approach, we gain novel insights into the geometry and dynamics of photon surfaces, independent of the global spacetime structure. We first discuss the photon surface conditions in a Petrov type-D spacetime manifold, and then we simplify those conditions assuming the existence of spherical symmetry.

The Case for Putting Aside Dark Energy to Re-Evaluate General Relativity
A renewed suggestion that dark energy may not be real – dispensing with 70% of the stuff in the universe – has reignited a longstanding debate. Dark energy and dark matter are theoretical inventions that explain observations we cannot otherwise understand. On the scale of galaxies, gravity appears to be stronger than we can account for using only particles that are able to emit light. So we add dark matter particles as 25% of the mass-energy of the Universe.
