How Do You Measure Desire?
After decades of continuous increase, life expectancy in the United States has dropped. Some sobering statistics were just released by the CDC that show white men and women as well as black men are seeing the biggest drop in life expectancy of any groups. Among the culprits of this decrease are opiate overdose and suicide. Opiate overdose deaths have increased due to availability of synthetic opioids like fentanyl and carfentanil as well as easy access to illicit opiates like heroin.
No Run on Floss - Dental Hacks
I knew something was weird when all the stores started running out of toilet paper. Why toilet paper? My understanding is that COVID-19 is a respiratory virus. I don’t think we have to worry about pooping a lot more. But let’s be honest…we humans are a weird bunch. I think that as soon as we heard that the stores were running out of toilet paper that our lizard brains decided that we needed ALL THE TOILET PAPER. So, we have a run on toilet paper.
Dentists as Clickbait
You know how to get people to click on your article? Here are a couple of rules: Choose an irresistible headline. You know the kind. Most potential readers are probably scrolling through Facebook waiting for something to grab their eye. So give it to them! The more bombastic, the better. Find a worst case scenario and then generalize. People don’t get upset if they don’t think something could really happen to them.

Juliette and Annaliese Mead are following their family’s roots in the cattle industry Juliette and Annaliese Mead are learning the ropes of the cattle business, but the young cattlewomen are far from novices. At 17 and 12, respectively, they each own a herd of 40 to 50 registered and commercial cattle. Producing high-quality cattle is a tradition in the Mead family. Their father, Alan Mead, owns Mead Farms, which began in 1942.
Don't hold it against us
The story of Cecil the lion broke yesterday. I think the story is tragic on several levels. Let me get this out of the way. I think it’s deplorable that someone would want to trophy hunt a lion. My understanding is that it is legal if properly permitted. So I don’t believe it’s criminal. But I believe it is a horrible thing to do. You may disagree with me and I respect your opinion, but you’re not likely going to sway me on this one. Here’s the problem.
