Thanks to a Rightmove alert, I received details of a flat being sold at the St Ann’s hospital site. A one-bed flat is offered off-plan for £410,000 leasehold, so presumably also liable for ground rent and service charges to cover the “concierge service”.

MOST will know of the double sackings from the Haringey Council Cabinet that were executed on New Years Eve by the current council leader Joseph Ejiofor. In their subsequent statements, each of the two Cabinet members sacked – Ahmet and Brabazon cite or mention Ejiofor's Fortismere School scheme in the context of what lay behind their sacking. This huge, secret capital project—like other grandiose Haringey schemes before it—has in my view, disaster written all over it.

THE HDV is shaping up to be the biggest decision that Haringey Council will ever take—and possibly amongst the biggest that any local authority has taken. By the Council's reckoning, it involves £2,000,000,000 of Council land and buildings, as measured by Gross Developable Value (whatever that may mean). Due to its high risk, about half the Council cannot support it, but despite that, the New Labour Cabinet is scheduled to stamp their approval on 3 July.
