Abstract PURPOSE: The various physiological profiles comprising vascularized composite allografts (VCAs) pose unique challenges to preservation. Minimizing ischemia, reperfusion injury, and rejection remains a primary focus of graft pre-treatments (PTs). Currently, the gold standard PT consists of flushing the graft and placing it in static cold storage in the University of Wisconsin solution. With this method, graft viability is limited to four to six hours.

For the last decade, high-stress lifestyles have been prioritized at the expense of personal wellbeing, resulting in exhausted bodies and brains. Since the pandemic, mental illness has surged, leaving victims scrambling for sources of support. But with more people willing to ask for help, why does it feel as if therapy isn't working anymore? We need to do better if we want our people to get better.
