Mama’s Kitchen is returning to the Hilton San Diego Bayfront for the 34th annual Mama’s Day fundraiser on Friday, June 6, at 5:30 p.m. Attendees can take in the scenic bay-front views as they taste unlimited bites from participating culinary partners all while enjoying live music, pop-ups booths, opportunity drawings, and memory-catching photo booths.

Students graduate with port insight

The Port of San Diego recently graduated two more groups of its award-winning Portside Community Academy in a joint graduation ceremony during a boat tour of San Diego Bay. The Academy hosted two spring 2025 courses, one in English, and one in Spanish. The Portside Community Academy is an educational program aimed at building deeper connections between the Port of San Diego and portside communities.

Annual art show takes entries

The Chula Vista Art Guild is holding it Annual Spring Community Art Show from May 3 through May 31 at the South Chula Vista Library. The Guild is accepting paintings and drawing for the juried exhibition on May 3 from 10 a.m. to noon. Both members and non-members 18 years old or older can submit artwork for the show with up to 60 accepted entries to be on display at the library. The show will be open to the public during regular library hours with many works for sale.
