Abstract Obtaining high-resolution spatial data to monitor post-fire impacts in environmentally and historically sensitive areas is essential for both heritage conservation and environmental assessment. The “Las Médulas Post-Fire lidar dataset” was acquired in September and November 2025, immediately after the wildfire that affected this UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Landscape in northwestern Spain.

Abstract Several locations across Antarctica are experiencing snow algal blooms on the surfaces of coastal snowfields, which significantly reduce surface albedo – by up to 20% – and consequently enhance the melting of snow and ice. Here we revealed the potential distribution of red snow algal blooms in the Antarctic South Shetland Islands between 2018 and 2024.

Abstract The need to gather data in such a harsh, isolated, and hard-to-access environment as Antarctica is a priority for the scientific community aiming to understand this system’s responses to different climate change scenarios. FosterCoast is a dataset collected using a UAV-based LiDAR sensor during the Spanish Antarctic Campaign 2024–2025 (Austral summer 2025), covering the entire inner ring (~35 km) of Port Foster Bay on Deception Island (Antarctica).
