1 Introduction Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are small membrane bound vesicles, typically ranging in size from 30 to 200 nm [1], secreted from living cells that can be readily obtained from urine, plasma, or serum [2]. They are increasingly recognized as biomarkers for revealing the pathogenesis of multiple diseases, including neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases and cancers [3-8] through minimally invasive liquid biopsy.

The growing demand for precision medicine and environmental monitoring requires the creation of miniaturized and portable sensing platforms. However, the need for highly sophisticated objective lenses has precluded the development of single molecule detection systems for truly portable devices.
