Strength training is a form of physical exercise aimed at improving strength and speed (Aagaard et al., 2002a; Balshaw et al. 2016; Enoka, 1988; Folland & Williams, 2007; Hakkinen et al., 1998; Maffiuletti et al., 2016; Sale, 1988). It is often used for the restoration of motor function, prevention of injuries and improvement in sports performance.
