How is social media changing news?
Social media is giving the consumer and news organization a more direct connection.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I frequently use Twitter to post information and links relating to the topics I cover.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter.
Why did you become a journalist?
I became a sports journalist because I love sports and I love to read great sports stories. Someday maybe I'll write some.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I wrote a 2,000-word profile on a man named Travis Hughes, who had a story to tell about how he went from major-league pitcher to FedEx guy.
