Alex Norris addresses party conference for the first time as Justice Secretary – his speech in full
Thank you, Conference. Thank you, friends. It is an honour to stand up here and address you as the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice. Now, I’ve been coming to these conferences all my adult life; a good couple of decades. But this is the first time I have ever seen Conference from this angle. I’ve never spoken from this podium. But I’m not going to make the name and CLP joke because I understand that’s been done a bit so far.

Be an ally, be a friend like Jill from It’s A Sin: HIV is everyone’s responsibility – LabourList
I grew up in the 1980s with very little idea at the time about the devastation that was happening across the country with a new and largely poorly understood virus. Even during my teenage years, HIV was something rarely spoken about, never mind properly explained at school. It was left to rumours and whispers in the playground to shape young people’s knowledge and attitudes to HIV – these were often steeped in homophobia, racism and misinformation. Russell T.

New Comic Alert: 'Webcomic Name' By Alex Norris | GoComics.com
What do you get when you hold the concept of webcomics beneath an electron microscope? What secrets does a peek at its atoms reveal? The answer lies within Webcomic Name by Alex Norris. Norris, already the noted GoComics creator of the poetic Dorris McComics, began his latest series last year. At first glance, Webcomic Name seems to function as a kind of three-panel gag parody -- a deconstruction of tropes as they relate to youth culture's inherent foibles -- but it goes deeper.
