A meditation on choice, responsibility and life as a first-generation American and student, “Lucky Night,” a short film written and directed by Eduardo Mendoza ’24, finished filming last week.

Drawing portraits across and through time: Jim Dine’s ‘Forgotten Harvest’
“My interest in drawing is eternal,” Jim Dine said in a conversation with the Orient. “I could never have done anything with my work if I hadn’t drawn.” Over the course of his decades-long career, Dine has dipped his toes into a genre-defying blend of art forms, including sculpture, painting and even poetry.

Kinstler ’13 talks repairing the wrongdoings of war – The Bowdoin Orient
Editor’s Note November 18, 2022 at 8:52 p.m.: An earlier version of this article used the word “vindicated” meaning “to justify and to clear something from criticism.” That was not the intended meaning of that sentence as it did not represent the meaning of the event discussed. Instead, this article has been updated with “redressed,” meaning “to bring justice to,” in its place.

Unity Optimization: Your Scene Hierarchy is Robbing you
You've optimized all of the low-hanging fruits of your game. Except that you didn't. You missed a sneaky, non-so-obvious spot: optimizing your Unity Scene Hierarchy. [The original entry with its formatting can be found at Unity Optimization: Your Scene Hierarchy is Robbing you Performance] What's the crack with the hierarchy now? I want to show you something. Launch Unity and open your game project. Then, run your game on your target device and attach the Unity Profiler to it.
An easy way to make falling leaves
By bzt Hi, I'd like to convert two aiScenes. Scene A is loaded from an arbitrary model, which can have any node structure and any mTransformations. Scene B is a more digestable, strict one: it's mRootNode has the mTransformation of identity matrix, and has all the meshes. Skeletons are stored as mRootNode's children, without meshes, their mTransformation matrices converted for the new mRootNode. I'm able to convert everything, except for aiNodeAnim objects.
Bored.. Wanna make an mmo that's actually fun?
To be quite honest I have very small knowledge into game design. The thing is i am tired of playing these games that do not listen to their player base and just want money, at the same time those games that do listen never progress. I am just looking for anyone with free time that has at least some idea how code games and is just looking for a hobby to work on while not at work.
