CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A significant heat wave is expected to bring some of the most uncomfortable and hottest conditions of the summer to the region. Air temperatures are expected to reach between 95 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit on Thursday and Friday. When humidity is factored in, the heat indices could reach as high as 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Frank Nocera, a National Weather Service meteorologist, explained that the heat originated in the Southwest part of the United States.
