About a year before prosecutors say he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and killed the man she was sleeping with, Stuart Beck tearfully testified at the murder trial for the man accused of shooting his father in front of him in 2017. “Dad, I love you, man,” he said in a recording of the 911 call that was played in court. “Don’t die! Oh, my God!” Beck was 15 when he and his dad drove to East Tampa to sell a dirt bike to a buyer they met through Craigslist.
