I think social media is capable of great good and great evil. I like when its used to develop a community and have a hub of info and thoughts

What does it mean to be a journalist?
it means trying to build a community. I think of it as an open discussion about the world around us.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
I dont even read the hashtags anymore
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I would like to be sent the artists socials, music to listen too and what the article should focus on - a new release, etc

microsoft word, i know im a microsoft girly, and grammerly!!

Why did you become a journalist?
I really love language and expressing thoughts. I think communication is the most valuable thing we have.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was too busy being president of the theatre club and on the equity team.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Right now, probably my tiny desk application post. It was so fun to watch all the videos and write about some really talented people.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Read things. Understand the history and context of what you're talking about. That element of deepens your work.

anytime after 7am before 11pm

At the thrift store!

perfectly, imperfect. They get artists of all kinds (actors, musicians, influencers) to talk about their "top picks". best blog ever.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
Probably that we are affiliated with Berklee College of Music. We all went there yes, but we write about emerging artists all over the world.
