Frisch's Big Boy is planning something in 2026 that it hasn't done in more than a year: opening a restaurant. The iconic Cincinnati chain is touting plans for a "refreshed space," nearly two years after it shuttered dozens of locations in the region. The eatery at 494 Orphanage Road in Fort Wright was one of a wave of the closures in final months in 2024.

The new 48,387-square-foot store is one of five planned for the Northern Kentucky region.
