Transdiagnostic connectome-based predictive modeling reveals networks jointly linked to subjective clinical symptoms and cognition
Abstract While disordered brain circuits should manifest in psychiatric symptoms and cognitive deficits, how they jointly impact multiple behaviors remains poorly understood. Connectome-based predictive (CPM) modeling can identify functional networks associated with specific behavioral measures. The derived networks provide evidence of where an individual’s disordered circuits are, and prediction strength indexes network modeling accuracy.
Brain-Behavior Associations: From Discovery to Clinical Application
Introduction Mapping neural processes to associated patterns of thought, emotion, and action (collectively termed “behavior” in this review) holds great potential for the treatment of psychiatric illness. Over the last few decades, substantial effort has been directed towards translating discovered brain-behavior associations into clinically actionable biomarkers and treatment targets.

Reconstructing skeletal homeostasis through allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in myelofibrosis - Nature Communications
Abstract Myeloproliferative neoplasm-associated myelofibrosis is a clonal stem cell process characterized by pronounced bone marrow fibrosis associated with extramedullary hematopoiesis and splenomegaly. Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) represents the only curative treatment leading to bone marrow fibrosis regression.
Dynamic medial parietal and hippocampal deactivations under DMT relate to sympathetic output and altered sense of time, space, and the self
Abstract N,N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) is a serotonergic psychedelic, known to rapidly induce short-lasting alterations in conscious experience, characterized by a profound and immersive sense of physical transcendence alongside rich and vivid auditory distortions and visual imagery.

Influence of the transverse tarsal arch on radiological components of progressive collapsing foot deformity
1 INTRODUCTION The human foot is composed of a longitudinal and a transverse arch. A medial and lateral component are attributed to the longitudinal arch, while a distal component at the level of the metatarsal heads and a tarsal component directly proximal to the Lisfranc joint are described for the transverse arch 1 (Figure 1A).

Alterations in compositional and cellular properties of the subchondral bone are linked to cartilage degeneration in hip osteoarthritis
OBJECTIVE: The subchondral bone is an emerging regulator of osteoarthritis (OA). However, knowledge of how specific subchondral alterations relate to cartilage degeneration remains incomplete. METHOD: Femoral heads were obtained from 44 patients with primary OA during total hip arthroplasty and from 30 non-OA controls during autopsy.

Structure of the Arabidopsis Glutamate Receptor-like Channel GLR3.2 Ligand-Binding Domain
Highlights • AtGLR3.2 LBD structures were solved in complex with agonists glycine and methionine • AtGLR3.2 LBD structures show clamshell architecture typical for vertebrate iGluRs • Mutation of R133 that is critical for agonist binding increases channel's activity • Structural conservation between GLRs and iGluRs predicts common gating principles Summary Glutamate receptor-like channels (GLRs) play important roles in numerous plant physiological processes.

Closed-loop digital meditation improves sustained attention in young adults
Abstract Attention is a fundamental cognitive process that is critical for essentially all aspects of higher-order cognition and real-world activities. Younger generations have deeply embraced information technology and multitasking in their personal lives, school and the workplace, creating myriad challenges to their attention. While improving sustained attention in healthy young adults would be beneficial, enhancing this ability has proven notoriously difficult in this age group.

Cardiac biomarkers predict mortality in emergency patients presenting with atrial fibrillation
Introduction Atrial fibrillation (AF) as the primary symptom occurs in 3.3% to 10.0% of emergency department (ED) admissions.1 As to the ongoing ED crowding worldwide, an effective management for patients with symptomatic AF is mandatory.2 3 Ideally, optimisation of patient management and resource allocation should be based on a time and cost- effective risk stratification.4 Up to now, the prognosis prediction is merely derived from established cardiovascular risk scores and thromboembolic...
Vernakalant is superior to ibutilide for achieving sinus rhythm in patients with recent-onset atrial fibrillation: a randomized controlled trial at the emergency department | EP Europace
IntroductionAtrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia and is expected to double till 2060 to 18 million in the EU when compared with 2010.1 It is associated with increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality2 and devastating stroke. Many studies have investigated the efficacy of different drugs in converting AF to sinus rhythm (SR). There are numerous randomized controlled trials comparing the value of these drugs with placebo, as well as among each other.
