Graduate school enrollment at Baylor has continued to rise, including a more than 50% increase at Baylor since 2019. For a growing number, graduation means staying in school. At Baylor, graduate school has become less of a niche path and more of a common next step. For some students, it’s about specialization and curiosity.

By Alexandra Brewer | Arts & Life Writer What started as an at-home hobby for owner Morgan Francis has now grown into a second storefront for Apple Gal in Waco, expanding from its original location in Tyler. Apple Gal now serves the community with unique candy apple flavors like circus animal and cookie butter. The idea for the shop first started as a creative outlet for Francis. “I was a stay-at-home mom, and I just needed a hobby,” Francis said.

By Alexandra Brewer | Arts & Life Writer Baylor University’s graphic design students stood out on a national stage and brought home top awards from the National Student Show and Conference (NSSC), a long-running competition and conference hosted by the Dallas Society of Visual Communications. The event brings together college design students from across the country to learn from industry professionals, tour agencies and compete for scholarships and national recognition.
