June 10, 2026, 12:51 p.m. ET New Yorkers who can't score a ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final will still have a chance to be part of the action. The NY/NJ FIFA World Cup Host Committee is hosting a free watch party on the Great Lawn in Central Park on July 19, allowing tens of thousands of fans to watch the championship match together. Gov. Kathy Hochul, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Alex Lasry, CEO of the NY/NJ FIFA World Cup Host Committee, announced the event this week.

June 9, 2026, 8:49 p.m. ET Mercury, Venus and Jupiter will appear clustered together in the evening sky this week in a rare three-planet conjunction visible across much of the Northern Hemisphere. According to NASA, Venus and Jupiter will appear especially close together after sunset on Tuesday, June 9. While the two planets may seem nearly side-by-side from Earth, the effect is a matter of perspective.
