Final Fantasy VII; a game as timeless as any good JRPG. Its memorable story, world, and characters have given rise to a whole slew of different spinoffs and cameo appearances elsewhere, such as Cloud and Sephiroth joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. One such spinoff is exactly what we’re here to talk about. Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is an upcoming battle royale experience set in the world of Final Fantasy VII. The plot is as simple as it can get; fight to be the last SOLDIER standing.

Capcom released Monster Hunter Rise all the way back in March of 2021, with many giving it generally favorable reviews. The game has also gotten its own slew of event quests since then, such as Street Fighter’s Akuma getting a costume in-game. More events look to be on the way, and today, we finally got some information regarding the upcoming Monster Hunter Rise PC release. Originally, Monster Hunter Rise was slated for a 2022 release on Steam, several months after its Nintendo Switch release date.

SNK, one of a few developers making fighting games since the 1990s and still doing so to this day. With series like Samurai Shodown and The King of Fighters, they know what they’re doing, and are going to keep doing it.
