3. Discussion The main and novel finding of this analysis conducted on post-menopausal women was that no association was found between circulating sclerostin levels and BMA. Moreover, serum sclerostin levels correlated negatively with VAT in both groups, and with TBF and ALM in the cases, but not in the controls. Examining and understanding the connection between BMAT and bone health recently emerged as an exciting area of research.
