Protecting the public interest and piquing curiosity by informing and entertaining readers.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Generally via email, but by phone works. Pitches must have a local angle, or a national angle that can be localized.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

P2P, DocumentCloud, Photoshop, social media, light HTML, iMovie/Final Cut/Adobe Premiere

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

A PR once teased me by saying I could speak to a veteran from Chicago who dealt with his PTSD with a therapy dog. The vet was from Charlotte.
