My first work in journalism came my sophomore year of college for a student music website, The Indie Sound. As for a real job, wait and see.

No, but I would love to (even though I self-edit too much for it to be sensible).

It's the place everyone goes for immediate updates. Want in-depth stuff? Follow the links. Want the basics now? Scroll through Twitter.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Tom Tucker from Family Guy. Great character, subpar journalist.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Adobe InDesign, Google Analytics, various CMS softwares...

I write well; I write fast. Pretty simple/
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
I probably shouldn't offer too much advice — I'm still an aspiring journalist. The AP Stylebook is your best friend. Clean copy is key.
