1 Introduction The innate ability of certain plants to undergo autonomous shape transformations in response to environmental stimuli is one of the most captivating adaptations in nature, allowing them to move without requiring metabolic energy.[1] A well-known example of this phenomenon is found in pinecones, which rely on such mechanisms for seed dispersal.
