Abstract Essential oils (EOs) are widely recognized as natural preservatives due to their antioxidant and antibacterial properties. Combining multiple EOs may enhance these properties compared to using them singly. Based on this hypothesis, this study aimed to determine the optimal formulation of EOs from Thymus vulgaris, Cinnamomum zeylanicum, and Pistacia atlantica for their antioxidant and antibacterial activities, employing a simplex-centroid mixture design.

Abstract Salinity in arid and semi-arid regions poses a significant limitation to crop growth. The present study aims to assess the synergistic effects of Ascophyllum nodosum, the bark of Salix aegyptiaca, and gum arabic in mitigating the adverse impacts of salinity stress on Rubia tinctorum. The antibacterial activity of root extracts against Ralstonia solanacearum and Pectobacterium carotovorum was evaluated separately using in silico molecular docking.
