President Donald Trump is still considering creating a retirement system modeled on Australia's superannuation program, more than six months after he first mentioned the idea. Australia's retirement system requires employers to contribute 12% of employees' pay into a retirement plan. Social Security, by contrast, requires employers and employees to split the contribution, with each putting in 6.2% of the worker's pay.
