Practical Applications Ongoing efforts to revise the EF-Scale toward ASCE/SEI/AMS standardization are expected to influence damage evaluations, and possibly wind speed estimation for future windstorm events. Using a draft of the revised EF-Scale in the new standard and two remote-sensing data sets (street-level and drone) in the damage evaluation after a tornadic event, this paper highlights some key differences in comparison with the damage evaluations made using the legacy EF-Scale.
