Born in Kabul. Raised in Little Kabul. Mastered International Media in DC. Moved to Doha to cover Afghanistan for Al Jazeera English. Returned to the new Kabul to cover Afghanistan for AJE, VICE News and the Christian Science Monitor. Currently Afghanistan-based journalist for The Los Angeles Times.
