1 Introduction Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) is the second most economically important vegetable crop after potato worldwide (Cannata et al. 2023, 2024) with a harvested area of approximately 4.92 million ha and a production of about 186 million tons (FAO 2022a). Unfortunately, many soilborne pathogens can negatively affect the tomato crop yield and quality in greenhouse and field conditions (Castello et al. 2017, 2024).

1 INTRODUCTION For a long time, the origin of the pistachio plant was not completely established; initially, it was thought that it was native to the arid areas of old Mesopotamia (currently Syria, Iraq and some parts of Türkiye and Iran). Recent studies suggest that the domestication and cultivation of the plant occurred in Iran approximately 3000 years ago (Nezami & Gallego, 2023).
