What was your first job as a journalist?
I was an intern for a local magazine called Wall Township Magazine, where I covered arts and entertainment stories.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes! If they were more up to par with the convenience of modern technology, I would definitely revert back to the good ole typewriting days!
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Andy Sachs, from the Devil Wears Prada (book and movie). Likable and relatable intern (with the exception of her having "no sense of style")!
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means informing the public with the highest quality content you can possibly provide. You are the one who provides all the answers.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
I'm a huge Tolkien fan, so #BrodoSwaggins is most definitely a winner!
What's your favorite social network?
Although I have a Twitter account, I'm more active on Facebook than any other social media site. I'm able to find more local events and news.
Why did you become a journalist?
My passion for discovering new things and informing the public. I love to learn, as well as educate. Journalism is the best of both worlds.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Recently, I found out that I was one of four TCNJ students chosen to attend and write about A.S.U.'s Biotech U Conference in AZ.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
There are opportunities everywhere, so always keep an open mind and never set limitations for yourself.
