Jed Lowrie and Yonder Alonso each homered to lead the Oakland A’s past the San Francisco Giants 7-1 Wednesday night at the Coliseum in Oakland, CA. Three Giants’ errors didn’t help starter Jake Peavy who was visibly upset by numerous routine fly balls which were simply misplayed. Peavy allowed seven runs, three earned in 3.1 innings before manager Bruce Bochy summoned George Kontos to relieve Peavy before he needed medical attention to control his blood pressure.
