Feedback Loop: Revisiting Autobiographical Fiction
Autobiographical Fiction: Using Your Real Life to Craft Great Fiction posted on Leap Day in 2012 (2/29/12) and in the almost 7 years since then, I have birthed three kids bought a house paid off a car switched careers eagerly awaited and then unhappily endured half a season of the terrible TV series, Under the Dome, which I referenced in that article Since LitReactor opened in 2011, I’ve written LOTS of articles about craft and grammar, and in that time, I’ve received maybe 20 personal...
Tiffany Scandal on 'Nasty!', A Collection Of Essays From Fierce Women
From body positivity to sexual empowerment to overcoming adversity and beyond, Nasty! is a collection of bold essays and recollections from King Shot Press, written by fierce women who are not ashamed of who they are or what they do. resentments of things past
What’s the use of getting over things? Wrongs have been perpetrated: assaults on your dignity, your self-image, your fragile well-being. And they’ve gotten away with it—they’re reveling (no doubt prospering), smug in their galling impunity, probably laughing at you even now. Bullies, critics, snobs, the so-called friend who slept with your one true love in college and has now tried to friend you on Facebook as though it never happened.

The Film Critic in the Internet Era
The piece in the Times by Manohla Dargis on the proliferation of independent films and the danger that the best of them may be lost in the shuffle is rightly the subject of wide discussion. I agree with what Tim Wu wrote: basically, the more, the merrier, and it’s the job of the critic—working with editors to determine which movies should be reviewed—to sort things out and use the bully pulpit.
