INTRODUCTION Primary gastric diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PG-DLBCL) is an uncommon type of extra-nodal lymphoma, accounting for the majority of aggressive lymphomas involving the stomach.1, 2 Patients often have an insidious onset of non-specific gastrointestinal symptoms and are diagnosed after histopathological confirmation from endoscopic biopsy or surgical intervention. Primary gastric diffuse large B-cell lymphoma differs from other DLBCL due to its unique pathogenesis.

Immunotherapeutic agents Overcoming a cancer's ability to suppress the immune system has been a focus of drug development for decades. MAbs blocking immune inhibitory signals such as programmed cell death-1, have revolutionized therapy of some lymphoma subtypes, but proved disappointing in studies recruiting unselected, heavily pre-treated RR-DLBCL.
