Transcriptome analysis of Citrus Aurantium L. to study synephrine biosynthesis during developmental stages
In the present study, we measured synephrine, an alkaloid and the contents exhibited a decreasing trend in all eight stages of C. aurantium. Alkaloids are a major class of secondary plant metabolites demonstrating vital pharmacological effects that benefit human health and regulate plant physiological functions.
