Allison Wilson’s Biography
I am a freelance writer looking to better establish myself in the local journalism and communications scene. At my current role freelancing for Karlovec Media I primarily set up, conduct, and record audio of interviews, which I then translate into short form news articles. I have also done some work attending, recording, and then summarizing local events for news, such as meetings, ribbon cuttings, and award dinners. I have base level experience running the equipment on a studio floor and in a TV control room due to my degree. My capstone work included development of a student gameshow, which I provided lighting design and helped secure funding for, work as a script supervisor on a student film, writing a 10,000 word script for an original TV pilot, and writing a complete story bible for the series the pilot headed. I work well under tight time constraints, and know how to prioritize tasks when dealing with multiple deadlines at once.
