Amanda Castro’s Biography
Amanda Castro joined the News 6 team in November 2015.
She is no stranger to the Sunshine State. She grew up in Lakeland and graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2012. Go Knights!
Three months after graduation, Amanda moved to the "Song and Soul of the South" to report and anchor for the NBC affiliate in Macon, Georgia, WMGT. She worked there for three years and covered many important stories to the community, including the political strife in Gordon and the controversial Macon police officer involved shooting.
