I don’t know what’s going on this year, but the 757 has been heavy lately. And I mean heavy. We’re barely into February and it feels like every week we’re hearing about another spot closing. Not random places either. The places we grew up with. The “everybody knows that spot” spots. The latest one to hit hard is The French Bakery in Norfolk. One hundred and fourteen years. Generations of families grabbed subs there, stopped in for donuts, or had their “this is my spot” moment.

I’m not gonna pretend I know all the boxing terms, but I DO know when somebody from Norfolk is outside doing their thing. After a rollercoaster 2025, Keyshawn Davis kicked off 2026 on a high note, winning his fight Saturday night at Madison Square Garden. And not just winning, he finished it with a late TKO, which I do know is a big deal. Keyshawn dropped Jamaine Ortiz in the 11th round and closed it out in the 12th. Even more wild, this was the first time Ortiz has ever been stopped in his career.

It was Clipse stepping onto the Grammy Awards stage for the first time ever. After all these years and all these CLASSICS! And they didn’t do it alone. Pusha T and Malice performed “So Far Ahead” with Pharrell Williams right there with them. Same trio. Same roots. Just a MUCH bigger stage! The performance was simple but powerful. Blue lighting. Snow falling.
