What was your first job as a journalist?
I started as an editor and writer in the sports dept of Ynet, specializing in American sports - NBA, NFL, etc
Have you ever used a typewriter?
I did a typewriter as a kid, writing essays for elementary school. Since then I'm strictly into keyboard, mouse, and computer.
How is social media changing news?
It is a huge source for new items, but it is also affecting their processing in a bad way. Journalists write one-liners instead of texts
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Not really fictional but I loved Spotlight's cast portrayal of the Boston Herald staff
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To be a story-teller but in the real world, and with real characters and accurate info. Still, you need to be creative and imaginative

Why did you become a journalist?
I have a passion for original stories, and I love in being creative in telling them. I'm also good in it. Also: every day is different

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I think it was my exclusive interview with Colts' owner Jim Irsay, who spoke openly about his Jewish legacy, which he never discussed before
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
This is what I learned over the year: more than new original interesting pieces, the public prefers getting news updates about known stories

Was asked by a publicist to write about some unknown local self-proclaimed celebrity, that he himself couldn't remember her name

People are so used to reading briefly and used to consume straight forward bulletins, so they miss my subtext rich way of writing
