US EPA Adds Two PFAS Chemicals To Hazardous Substances List

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on April 19, 2024, classifying two per-and polyfluoroalkyl chemicals (PFAS), and their salts and structural isomers, as "hazardous substances" under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), also known as Superfund. The proposed rule will take effect 60 days after it is published in the Federal Register.
