Year 9 students at Rye College are celebrating success in the 2026 Civil Service STEM Challenge, with one team finishing second in the country and every Rye College team receiving national recognition. The challenge encourages young people to apply science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) skills to tackle real-world problems. Competing against schools nationwide, Rye College students impressed judges with their creativity, research and teamwork.

Rye College hosted its annual Values Awards Evening on Thursday 18 June, a special event recognising the hard work, resilience and achievements of students across the school. The awards highlight not only academic success but also the personal qualities that enable young people to thrive both in school and beyond. Students were recognised for supporting others and pushing themselves to achieve their very best.

On Friday 8 May Rye College came together to mark the incredible 100th birthday of Sir David Attenborough with a wonderful wildlife‑themed bake sale. It was led by Mrs Willett – a huge thank you to the staff and students who donated so generously. We’re delighted to have raised £151 for the World Wildlife Fund. A special well done to Tasmin, who won the Star Bake prize, and to brilliant runners‑up Holly, Taylor, Elsie and Ivy – all exceptional bakes.
