On Friday 8 May Rye College came together to mark the incredible 100th birthday of Sir David Attenborough with a wonderful wildlife‑themed bake sale. It was led by Mrs Willett – a huge thank you to the staff and students who donated so generously. We’re delighted to have raised £151 for the World Wildlife Fund. A special well done to Tasmin, who won the Star Bake prize, and to brilliant runners‑up Holly, Taylor, Elsie and Ivy – all exceptional bakes.

Rye Community Primary School was transformed into a celebration of stories, imagination and reading joy as pupils and staff marked World Book Day with a vibrant whole‑school parade and a day filled with literary activities. The playground burst into colour as children arrived dressed as beloved characters from classics, modern favourites and everything in between.

A Year 9 Rye College student has been awarded a Breck Ambassador of the Month for his outstanding contribution to online safety education. Year 9 student Freddie was commended for his resilience, commitment, and for the high quality of the assemblies he has delivered as part of the school’s partnership with the Breck Foundation’s Youth Ambassador Project.
