On Sunday, 21 June, South Africa celebrates Father’s Day, traditionally observed on the third Sunday of June. The Father's Day we know today originated in the United States in the early 1900s. It was inspired by Sonora Smart Dodd, whose father, a Civil War veteran, raised her and her siblings after their mother died in childbirth. The first Father’s Day was held on 19 June 1910, the birth month of Dodd’s father.

R&B artist Kehlani is coming to Cape Town this December!

Acclaimed R&B singer Kehlani is heading to South Africa this festive season as part of the KEHLANI WORLD TOUR. The two-time Grammy Award-winner will be performing in Pretoria on 15 December before bringing the tour to the Mother City on 17 December. Known for hits such as Honey, Distraction, Folded, and After Hours, this will be Kehlani’s second visit to South Africa following their headline performance at Rocking the Daisies in 2022.
