How is social media changing news?
Social media is changing the way news works in a lot of ways. Stories can reach people almost instantly and travel much faster than before. At the same time, people are seeing news through feeds and personal networks, which can make important stories spread quickly but also create echo chambers. Social media lets journalists and photographers share stories directly with their audience and even gather information from the public, but it also makes it more important than ever to check facts and make sure reporting is accurate.
